You can use it free or paid. You own the content you upload and may freely use the AI outputs. By consenting at checkout, you waive the 14-day right of withdrawal. Accounts that break the rules may be suspended. You can close your account anytime.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of CreatorNote ("we", "the Service", "Platform"). By signing up or using the Service, you accept these Terms.
1. Overview
CreatorNote is an AI-powered content tool providing YouTube transcription, PDF summarization, audio-to-text conversion, subtitle translation, AI chat with content, and related features. The Service is accessible via website (creatornote.ai), browser extensions, and API.
2. Use of Service
a. Account Registration and Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction). Registration information must be accurate, current, and complete. For corporate accounts, you must be an authorized representative.
b. Account Security: You are responsible for your account's security and all activity under it. Report unauthorized access immediately to [email protected].
c. License: We grant you a limited, non-transferable, revocable, non-exclusive license to use the Service for personal or commercial purposes. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
d. Prohibited Conduct: You may not use the Service to: produce illegal content, infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, harm children, harass or discriminate, commit fraud, spread misinformation, produce malware or spam, present AI outputs as human work, bypass security measures, reverse-engineer, or overload the Service with automated tools at scale.
3. Security and Data Privacy
Personal data processing is governed by our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy includes our Turkish KVKK Disclosure, EU GDPR rights framework, and California CCPA disclosures.
4. User Content
a. Upload and Responsibility: You bear full responsibility for content you upload (PDFs, audio, video, text, URLs). You represent that you hold all necessary rights and do not infringe third-party intellectual property or privacy rights.
b. Generated Content: You own all rights to use, modify, distribute, and commercialize AI-generated outputs (summaries, transcripts, translations). Attribution to CreatorNote is not required. Similar outputs may be generated for other users. Ownership is limited to your specific output.
5. Billing
a. Subscriptions and Renewals: Plus, Pro, and Premium plans auto-renew monthly or annually. You receive email notice before renewal. Cancel anytime (see 5c).
b. Taxes: Invoice amounts may include VAT and applicable local taxes, calculated from the billing information you provided at signup.
c. Cancellation: Cancel via account settings anytime. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds except where required by law.
d. Free Trials: CreatorNote reserves the right to set eligibility, duration, and terms of trial programs.
6. Refund Policy and Right of Withdrawal
a. Withdrawal Right Waiver (Turkey): Under Turkish Distance Sales Regulation Art. 15/1-ğ, the 14-day withdrawal right for digital subscription services is waived upon your express consent at checkout to receive the service immediately.
b. Refund Exceptions: Within 24 hours of your first purchase, you may request a refund for unused premium features. Requests outside this window and monthly auto-renewals are non-refundable.
c. Refund Requests: Email [email protected] within 24 hours of purchase, including order number and reason.
7. Intellectual Property
a. CreatorNote IP: Our brand, software, design, logo, and platform materials are protected by intellectual property law. The license granted to you is limited, revocable, and non-exclusive.
b. User Content IP: You retain ownership of content you upload. However, you grant CreatorNote a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to operate and improve the Service.
c. Feedback and Suggestions: Suggestions, feedback, and ideas you send us grant CreatorNote a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable right to use without compensation.
8. Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no express or implied warranties regarding accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI outputs. You evaluate suitability for your purpose. We are not liable for third-party service interruptions (Stripe, Groq, Google), internet delays, or system failures beyond our reasonable control. We do not guarantee any specific uptime; the Service may be interrupted from time to time for maintenance, updates, or technical reasons.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify CreatorNote against all losses, claims, damages, and costs (including attorney fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, unauthorized account use, or violation of third-party rights.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CreatorNote and its employees are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or punitive damages. Total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to CreatorNote in the 12 months prior to the claim.
11. Term and Termination
a. Term: These Terms begin when you first use the Service and continue until you close your account or we terminate.
b. Our Right to Terminate: We may suspend or terminate your account for Terms violations, unauthorized access, or to protect Service security.
c. Your Right to Terminate: Close your account anytime from Settings → Delete Account by entering your password and confirming. Account closure triggers data deletion/anonymization processes per KVKK Article 7 and GDPR Article 17.
d. After Termination: Access ceases immediately. Sections on IP, disclaimers, indemnification, liability limits, and dispute resolution survive termination.
12. Miscellaneous
a. Changes to Terms: We may update these Terms as needed. Material changes are announced in advance via email or in-Service notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
b. Service Changes: We reserve the right to add, remove, or sunset features. If the Service is discontinued during an active subscription, unused time is refunded pro-rata.
c. Dispute Resolution: Disputes are first resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unsuccessful, Istanbul, Republic of Turkey courts and enforcement offices have exclusive jurisdiction. For consumer disputes below the statutory threshold, Turkish Consumer Arbitration Committees have jurisdiction.
d. Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Conflict-of-laws rules do not apply.
e. Severability: If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
