CreatorNote: YouTube Transcript is a browser extension that gets a YouTube video's transcript from your own browser and shows it to you on the page (with copy, download, translate and search).

What data we collect

By default there is no account, no login, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share your data. The transcript is read and shown locally in your browser and is never uploaded automatically.

The extension contacts our server (creatornote.ai) only in these limited cases:

• Automatic error signal. If the extension cannot read a transcript, it sends a small, anonymous technical signal so we can notice when a YouTube change breaks it. It contains only the extension version, your browser's interface language, and a short context label (e.g. transcript-not-found). It does not include the transcript, the video, your identity, or any account/cookie data (sent without cookies).
• "Report a problem" (only if you use it). If you type a message in the report box, that text is sent to us so we can fix the issue — only what you write, plus the extension version and language.
• "Open in CreatorNote" (only if you click it). Sends the current transcript to your CreatorNote account so you can save or summarize it; works through the website and requires you to be signed in there.

This information is used only to keep the extension working and to answer your reports — not for advertising or profiling.

How it works

• The extension runs on https://www.youtube.com/ watch pages.
• When you click Get transcript, it opens YouTube's own transcript panel and reads the transcript text locally in your browser.
• Copy, Download and Translate (YouTube's own translation) are local — the transcript is not uploaded.
• The only data sent to our server is the limited, mostly anonymous information described above.

Permissions

The extension uses content scripts on www.youtube.com (to read the transcript) and on creatornote.ai (to hand a transcript to your account when you choose "Open in CreatorNote"). It requests no other access.

Children's privacy

The extension is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at the same URL.

• "CreatorNote'ta Aç" (yalnız tıklarsan). Mevcut transkripti, kaydedip özetleyebilmen için CreatorNote hesabına gönderir; site üzerinden çalışır ve orada giriş yapmış olmanı gerektirir.

Bu bilgiler yalnız eklentiyi çalışır tutmak ve bildirimlerine yanıt vermek için kullanılır — reklam veya profilleme için değil.

Nasıl çalışır

• Eklenti https://www.youtube.com/ video sayfalarında çalışır.
• Transkripti Al'a bastığında, YouTube'un kendi transkript panelini açıp transkript metnini tarayıcının içinde, yerelde okur.
• Kopyala, İndir ve Çevir (YouTube'un kendi çevirisi) yereldir — transkript yüklenmez.

İzinler

Eklenti www.youtube.com üzerinde (transkripti okumak için) ve creatornote.ai üzerinde ("CreatorNote'ta Aç" seçtiğinde transkripti hesabına aktarmak için) content script kullanır. Başka hiçbir erişim istemez.

Çocukların gizliliği

Eklenti çocuklara yönelik değildir ve çocuklar dahil hiç kimseden bilerek kişisel veri toplamaz.
